And Since We've No Place to Go...

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Not that I've really done all that much just yet, but January has been lovely so far. To make matters even better (in my opinion since I wasn't headed anywhere today) it snowed all yesterday afternoon. There's something about snow at the start of a new year that I just love. The crisp, cool air and the cold weather feels like a fresh start. There's a sense of erasure in snowfall in January, the idea that you can take this new year do whatever you want with it. This blank canvas is yours to paint with you memories and adventures as well as your mistakes and missteps.

It's a truly unique feeling, the idea of starting over. It's quite a liberating sensation when you allow yourself to make the most of yourself and the time you've got. I've already posted what my big resolutions are for 2015, and you can read all about them here, but I think it's also important to create little goals or ideas as you go along. Life is crazy and if you can't roll with the punches then you're going to be left in the dust. Please excuse the clichés, but it's true.

2015 feels like a it's going to be a good year for me and the bit of white that erased 2014 solidified that for me. Starting fresh, starting over, starting something!

Also! I want to say thank you to my awesome photographer of a sister, pictured above, Nikki! She'll be doing some more photos for me over the coming months and shooting with her is a blast. You can find her here on Twitter and over here on Instagram!
